A John Wick video game for next-gen consoles could soon enter development.
Jon Feltheimer, CEO of lionsgate announced to its shareholders that an ambitious video game adaptation of John Wick was currently in discussions with important members of the video game industry:
I don’t want to speculate, but we think there’s a great AAA game to be made based on John Wick. We have received proposals. We would like to move this project forward, but I don’t want to say more for now.

Unlike Mike Bithell’s 2020 indie John Wick Hex, which reimagined hitman battles as a strategy game, John Wick AAA could be a sprawling action game featuring combat and gunplay. -fu among the most characteristic of the genre and the most stylized. The American studio Rockstar Games could be the ideal candidate for such a project.
John Wick, Lionsgate’s cash machine
When discussing the potential for future John Wick projects with Lionsgate investors, Jon Feltheimer remarked that the filmmakers behind the series have done an incredible job of not only keeping a franchise alive and important, but making each film more and more more valuable. While 2014’s John Wick grossed $86 million on a budget of $20 million, the sequels only got bigger as the John Wick and Keanu Reeves cult following grew. The movie Chapter 2 has grossed $171 million worldwide, and the most recent movie Chapter 3 – Parabellum has grossed $327 million worldwide. Chapter 4 is still scheduled for release on March 24, 2023.
