Apple is clearly the American tech giant that is doing the best right now. Last week, it was worth more on the stock market than Alphabet, Amazon and Meta combined.
Of all the American tech giants, Apple seems to be the one with the greatest success at a time when the market is (still) experiencing strong storms. The proof by example: for a short time last week, the Cupertino company could boast of having a market capitalization superior to that of Alphabet, Amazon and Meta… combined!
Apple is clearly the American tech giant that is doing the best right now
According to Yahoo Finance, Apple’s stock market value at the end of the day on Wednesday November 3 was $2.31 trillion, while the sum of Alphabet, Amazon and Meta’s capitalizations was “only” $2.3 trillion. billions of dollars. Those numbers have changed since then, with Apple’s capitalization at $2.21 trillion at the time of this writing. But this is proof of Apple’s resilience in the face of a global financial crisis that has seen the shares of the majority of companies fall for about a year.
Apple’s stock, currently worth $138.38, has been losing since last December when it was worth $179.5, but has been steadily rising since June thanks to strong financial results during the third quarter 2022.

Alphabet and Amazon are far behind, with Alphabet’s stock currently worth $83.4, a long way from $148.9 at its high. That of Amazon is trading at $89.3, against $186 at its highest. But the worst remains Meta, which has seen its stock plunge to its lowest level since 2015, in particular because of its stubbornness to invest billions of dollars in an ecosystem that is struggling to convince, the metaverse. Meta’s stock is worth $88.9 today, reaching its all-time high in September 2021, at $378.7. The market capitalization of the Menlo Park firm fell below 235.8 billion dollars, making it the 34th largest company in the world, which was once 6th in this ranking, with 1,070 billion dollars in capitalization.
