British actor Daniel Kaluuya will voice Spider-Punk in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
In a cast consisting of Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Oscar Isaac, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Issa Rae, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham and Jason Schwartzman for the animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Daniel Kaluuya will play superpowered New York teenager Hobart “Hobie” Brown aka Spider-Punk, a character by comic book writer Dan Slott and artist Olivier Coipel, who was introduced in The Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 3 #10 in 2015.

Sony Pictures Entertainment bets on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse to democratize animation in cinema
In Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, directed by Justin K. Thompson, Joaquim Dos Santos and Kemp Powers, with Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and David Callaham scripting, Miles Morales returns in an epic adventure that transports the Brooklyn’s Spider-Man, a friendly, full-time neighbor, travels across the multiverse to join the forces of Gwen Stacy and a new team of “Spider-People” to face a villain more powerful than anything they’ve got never met.
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be released in theaters on June 2, 2023. Sony Pictures Entertainment is also preparing the film’s sequel, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, which is scheduled for release on March 29, 2024. Note that Spider- Man: Into the Spider-Verse, grossed over $384 million worldwide and won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2019.
