While waiting for Windows 12, Microsoft will deploy another major Windows 11 update in the fall. Called 23H2, this new version will offer users a slew of new features, including AI Copilot. Here’s what to expect.
A few days ago, Microsoft rolled out the huge Moment 3 update for Windows 11. Improved widgets, 2FA code copying, seconds display, closed captioning, mains adaptive brightness control… Users got to enjoy of a package of improvements. However, some have denounced a negative impact on the performance of their PC.
Anyway, the Redmond giant has not yet finished tweaking its OS. Despite the imminent arrival of Windows 12, Microsoft is preparing another notable update for its current operating system. The company confirmed that Windows 11 23H2 would land in the fourth quarter of 2023, i.e. at next fall, reports The Verge. However, she refrained from revealing the content of this new version.
Windows 11: what new features will the 23H2 update bring?
Based on the beta versions, we can already anticipater the arrival of the following functionalities :
- Archive formats tar, 7-zip, gz or RAR will be supported natively.
- Paint will have the right to its dark mode.
This update could also accommodate other features still unknown to the battalion. It will allow Microsoft to take care of its transition to the successor to Windows 11 which should arrive next year.
